When you submit a contact or consultation request, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:

When you place a firewood order, we collect:

  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • The delivery address and any delivery notes you give us, such as gate codes or where to stack
  • What you ordered, the delivery day you asked for, and the order total
  • The internet (IP) address the order was placed from, which we use to limit misuse of the order form

Firewood is paid for on delivery. This website does not take card payments, and we do not collect or store credit card numbers or bank details. We keep a record of the amount paid and whether it was paid in cash or by Venmo.

Information you submit is used solely to:

  • Respond to your inquiry or consultation request
  • Provide information about our services
  • Schedule estimates or site visits
  • Work out the delivery fee for your address, and schedule and carry out your firewood delivery

4. Services That Help Us Run This Site

We use a small number of outside services to operate this website and deliver your order. They receive only what they need to do their job:

  • Address lookup. As you type a delivery address, suggestions are provided by Google. To work out the distance from our yard, the address is also checked against the U.S. Census Bureau's address service.
  • Email delivery. Emails about your order or inquiry are sent through an email delivery provider.
  • Website hosting. The site and its order records are stored with our hosting and software providers.
  • Venmo. If you choose to pay by Venmo, you are taken to Venmo to make the payment. That payment is made with Venmo, under Venmo's own terms and privacy policy.

5. Cookies & Analytics

The firewood order form uses a cookie that is necessary for it to work: it keeps your order together between the order page and the review page. It is not used for advertising.

This website may use basic analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand general visitor traffic patterns — for example, which pages are viewed most often. These tools may use cookies. No personally identifiable information is collected through cookies without your knowledge.

You may disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. If you do, the firewood order form may not work.

6. How Long We Keep Information

We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond to them. We keep firewood order records for as long as we need them for our business, accounting and tax records.
